I'm going on to canada this summer and i was wondering if it was worth the hassle to stop by electronic stores and buy some stuff. Is stuff cheaper comparatively to the United States?

It is for us, but I suspect you may or may not find that to be true
Have what you would pay back home, the exchange rate and calculator and go nuts!
I noticed a pair of binocs I bought last fall have dropped $50 so our buying power has caught up to the inventory cycle

I think US prices are cheaper, but only slightly. But it's not that far off, but Canada could have more taxes than your state.

What Canada doesn't have are those crazy rebates you Americans always have. US rebates makes me want to live in the US :(

OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!

We do to have those dam rebate things.

Go to a FutureShop or a BestBuy here and see rebates (US and Canadian) everywhere.

If you want decent pricing, go to a local Mom and Pop type computer store.

I'm pretty sure though, that you can get back the taxes you pay for something in Canada, as long as you keep your receipts. Just ask at the border if it's true and how to go about it.

Yeah, we do have those rebates. But not even close to the level that the Americans have them. Take a closer look at all the US hot deals. Canadian ones pretty much suck compared to them.
