Fill 'er up. :)

TAS is quiet, with the vacationing Petrus but we're still all crunching away but scattered about. I was tempted to start a topic on the TAS forum about a BOINC month...

Me? I'm re-attacking QMC this month. Come join us.

The "Rise". ;)

Hey I've been a bit busy lately and neglacted TAS toooo much. I'll start a topic and it sounds like QMC will be a nice project for the holidays since we've been overtaken. I've also recently added a couple more machines to QMC. :D

I've not even looked at TAS for a couple months.

FWIW, I'm pretty much just doing Rosetta, and now that it's gotten colder I've fired up a few more rigs to help out. ;)

I "commando-ed" a few boxes yesterday that I'd build for relatives, and managed to get 7,605 QMC creds today, I think a high for me.

That also knocked me into the top 2000 in the BOINC world, a goal I've been chasing for awhile. Next step, the elusive Mil. w00t!!

Note that some of the QMC WU's are long (this is a "hallmark" of the project) but they pay off VERY nicely.

Yessir.

The dev says he plans to do a fixed credit change soon. There are clearly some people in the project doing some pretty evil client manipulating (i.e. 999,999 Mips, as an example), but in the meantime it's cranking. Back in May when TAS crunched QMC I was as high as #22.

For generic optimized clients, it is a money tree. One of the few left.

FYI, from the project leader:
I will put up a news item soon:
onex_ - WUs should be aborted

onex_bench7a/7b are working,
but I already know, that the test failed,
onex_bench15 and to a lesser extend
onex_bench7 show the restarting problem
(but I still don't know, why the core
client doesn't sort them out ...)

Thanks for the quick feedback for
the onex-workunits.

Regards,
Martin

In other words, if you have a onex _* WU that seems to be going nowhere, check your messages. If it's resetting, abort it. I had several, including one dual-core that's been "stuck" for a week and I can't get to it until Saturday.

i know, it's not end of the month, i just wanted to be sure we're crunching something in January. If nobody would do it, I'd try it.
