This isn't a story for the media, has nothing to do with what they sell, who's running the company, what their stance on the war is, etc. This is a manager being an asshole to a member of the United States military who just returned from serving his country. Stop trying to put a spin on this.
What it is is a lie. Here's another link about the organized smear campaign against Target:
USS Lexington CV16

Did you get the word of Target that they have been the victim of a lengthy email smear campaign initiated by a person who didn't receive a donation that he requested...?....So it appears they are good people and we shouldn't boycott or otherwise give them a bad time. They support all veteran and military organizations on a national scale..Al Rogers
So much for your credibility.

How exactly did you get this story, you originally wrote it as second- or third-hand information but now you seem to be claiming to directly know the people involved?

Um if you'd read my first post. I ASKED if Target was anti-military! You can link these things to me and say "hey, here you go, they used to be attacked all the time on this sort of stuff, but no, they're not anti-military, that manager should be fired"

Instead you've decided to use what appears to be your gut instinct....rudeness.
