The Theory of Everything (2014)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2980516/

quick, name one of his life accomplishments without googling.

i can't name any.

I know that he's worked out a lot of the physics surrounding black holes and shown that they don't exist forever but eventually radiate away. Plus he holds the same chair that Issac Newton did at Cambrige. I'm sure there is plenty other things to add, but yeah I'd say the man definitely has some intellectual ability..

Theoretically, he's a genius.

But it will never be proven.

It's just as reasonable to say that Stephen Hawking is mainly composed of subatomic particles that smell like bacon. Prove me wrong.

He can't smell like bacon without that sweet juicy hog fat in his system and obviously he has no fat. Proof positive.

yes one of the top minds of a generation along with other names you've also heard, and there are many others like him that go uncelebrated

Stephen Hawking replaced Einstein as the media's darling. Neither is anywhere near Nikola Tesla's equal.

There is nothing worse than the historical blow job every single person wants to give Tesla.

I met a serbian in NYC once that was drooling at the prospect at giving him a BJ right there. It was pretty sad really.

I'd take it in the ass if it meant Tesla came back to life. In fact, I'd let him have all of my holes... If performing gay acts meant bringing back Tesla , I'm ok with that.

:hmm:

Daily for 20 years will most assuredly bring him back....it is inevitable.

:ninja:

Since Tesla was totally asexual, he would probably pass on the generous offer. 🙂 However I wouldn't mind seeing him become a household name, similar to Einstein and Edison. It would be much deserved.

Jesus Christ let the guy have his massive brain, will you? Everything else has been taken away from him.

Naw...Hawking merely serves as a poster boy for the pop press...an icon YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BUY as a "smart guy," but Hawking publishes mental constructs of a blind childish fool materialist. Hawking is totally a materialist.

Contrarian viewpoint below, take or leave:

"The astral universe, made of various subtle vibrations of light and color, is hundreds of times larger than the material cosmos. The entire physical creation hangs like a little solid basket under the huge luminous balloon of the astral sphere. Just as many physical suns and stars roam in space, so there are also countless astral solar and stellar systems. Their planets have astral suns and moons, more beautiful than the physical ones....." -from one who KNOWS for real....Swami Sri Yukteshwar

He's published, wrote "A Brief History of Time". Had to read that in college. I'm not an expert but from what I remember he was pretty famous for his theories about black holes that had been mathematically proven. Something about how they distort space and time.

I have been to a lecture of his. Not only is he smart, but he is pretty personable. I think that is part of the reason he is so famous, kinda like Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Not to mention he is completely disabled and does calculations for quantum mechanics in his head...

Yes I was going to say A brief History of Time but that was a book and I was not sure if that would count since it might just be a collection of his work or a introductory explanation or something. Actually have the book and a older print from the 60s or 70s but I have yet to read any of the book yet even when it has been a priority of mine for some years now. Was even afraid to list his Hawking Radiation because I knew there had been some debunking recently but I remembered that some of it was still considered scientifically valid or something.
