I'm pretty sure it was designed by the CIA secret torture unit.
I just can't believe anybody would sign off with this mess.

It's pretty bad.
The same commercials every 5 minutes while trying to watch something. Of course it cuts out to commercials during the worst times.
Sony has owned Crackle for a good while now (since 2006).It used to be okay, then recently Sony bought it and it went to crap.
it's a shame because it has some good original shows.
I don't use it a lot. However, it is the only streaming app that has the documentary Crumb (1994.) The app was so bad that I gave up watching it on Crackle. I was even ready to rent or buy this movie online. Sadly, Amazon Prime Video does not offer any option to rent or buy. It's funny that this thread is from 2018. The OP doesn't realize how much better it was even two years ago.
I first used Crackle 6-7 years ago and it was quite good for a free app. Its gone slowly downhill since then; not just the annoying interface itself, but the content as well.
Back then Crackle always had some AAA movies to stream, whether it be the Aliens series, the Star Trek movies, The Lethal Weapon series, the Matrix movies etc. Now its almost all straight to video type crap. And yes, the way the commercials are staggered now is annoying as all %^&. It didn't used to be like that.
I haven't launched the app in a long time.
It would help if youunderstood that streaming is transmitting or receivingwere not composed entirely out of data(usually video or audio)and spamming forums over a computer network!!!
