Last night while I was using my computer, all of the sudden, the monitor made this *loud* pop & crackling sound and the image on the screen briefly went away, and then came back on. I didn't really pay any attention to it, but then it did it again a while later. This time, I checked the top of the monitor (where the vents are), and it felt very hot to the touch. I immediately turned it off, and unplugged it. After I turned it off, it made more popping & crackling sounds.
I let it cool down, the resumed using it for a short duration a while later. It wasn't running as hot as before (probably because I hadn't used it as long), but it still made the same sounds when I turned it off.
Is this normal or is there something wrong? I hadn't really paid attention to the temperature before, but it had never done the popping & crackling before.
It's a 17in KDS Avitron AV7T or AV-9T.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
