I always try to give the shove if I know they aren't going to make it in time. It may smack them in the face, but it isn't my problem by then. I at least put forth the effort to add joy to their day.

I would say no; they're probably in a hurry. I was rolling in my manual wheelchair at a store once, and another customer said, "Let me get that door for you." I said, "No, thank you I can get it (I'm pretty fiercely independent)." She continued walking to the door, and I said, "No really I can get it," and she proceeded to open the door for me. So I said, "Some of us like to be independent," And she yells back (so far it was calm tones), "Well some of us want to do this!" - basically saying, "I don't care what you say!"

Poor Exterous, what did he do to deserve you? :(

He got a hold of my address and the restraining order wasn't enough to keep him away so I had to move

I don't get that either. Some need for validation? If someone says they don't need the door held open I'd just move on with my life

I can believe it. Give him an ounce of contact information, and he's taking lbs of flesh from you on a weekly basis.

At work we are supposed to use our badge to unlock the door. We are not supposed to "hold the door" as they want everybody to badge in. So, anybody who doesnt hold the door is merely doing their duty.
We can hold the door here but if you do, you have to wait and make sure they still badge in an that the light turns green.

That is such a fucking stupid policy.

EXCUSE ME SIR, I have to slam this door on you in an effort to make sure you badge in... Yes, I understand 10 people got off the elevator and each one of you must badge in one by one.

I mean there are some people that really try.... like someone will hold open the door but the person walking through will still scan his badge even though the door is already open. It makes you look incredibly stupid.

Absolutely. He ain't gonna be able to grab the handle with those hooves.

BTW, if you can pry your eyes away from the chaps for a moment and gaze into his eyes, there you will find an expression that says, "I make a living doing pron but this is flippin degrading."

It can certainly be annoying at times. They are adding turnstiles to the external doors in all the buildings in the HQ eventually, thus far I think they have it in 1 or 2 of the buildings where all the execs work.
