My advice: Lower your standards.

I want the best of the best, the cream of the crop

maybe that's why i'm girlfriendless

Okay, that's fine, for a girlfriend. But you have to start somewhere...and if you're worried about what your friends think, find some away from home...

honestly, i'm not really desperate to have a female companion in my life.... I'm young 19 and clueless, even though I would to have some experience with females.

Somewhere down the road, I will probably get desperate enough to pursue females, it just hasn't hit me yet.

I'm not worried about what my friends think... i only keep close with the true friends, so they understand me from every angle.

But I'm not talking about a female companion...there are women out there who have just as casual social attitudes as guys...you just have to find them.

can you school a young 19 year old about chemistry?

I feel like i have chemistry with just about every girl i make eye contact with. When we do end up talking, i feel anxious, excited, a little intimidated, etc..etc.. that sort of thing and everything ends on a good note.

if the "real" chemistry develops after getting to know girls well and they get to know me well, then i have yet to experience it.

chemistry is when you can chill with a girl and you guys just feel comfortable around each other.. there isn't alot of awckwardness.. if there is silence.. it's ok.. the two of you are just chillin'

think of how you are around your best friend.. that's kinda how it is, but with extra stuff (boobs, etc..)

can you have chemistry with your best female friend?

certainly, YES there is often a very thin line there :)

Your standards aren't too high. Any girl can be your girlfriend. You just have to make it happen. I'm ugly, poor, average d*ck, and have a few other things working against me. I have always dated "hot" girls. There is hope for you. AvesPKS has given you some good advice.

After you have completed this step, you will begin to gain more confidence, and can raise your standards a corresponding amount. However, be forewarned: chicks with low self esteem usually come equipped with a great deal of emotional baggage, so be ready to cut them loose at the first signs of attachment.
lol, that post was hilarious.
