i really, really dont bother with 18+ hrs runs.
Ever since OCCT came out, an hour or two is actually fine (as i said) for 99,999999% of all games and apps, if you know WHAT programs to use for what subsystem of your computer. Eg.memtest f. windows for memory, OCCT2.0.0 or P95 small FFT for CPU, OCCT/mem for Northbridge, Timings.
Those programs stress and demand *so much* of a system that similar situations will never occur in real life, not even with the most demanding games. if i run 1-2 hr OCCT and another hour memtest for windows my system is pretty much stable "all around".
Exception, sure:
Say you have a machine running 24/7 doing some extreme FFT calculations like folding or SETI...or you have some hyper-sensitive system controlling whatever important nuclear power plants where a potential calculation error would be disaster..then i would run 24hrs
But for every-day "stable" i dont think its really needed.
