That doesn't surprise me. Apparently the liberal shades are darkly tinted

I see a lot of people who agree with the neocon positions complain about the label, but more importantly, I am a proud liberal. Paul Krugman just put out an excellent book the right-wing cultists won't read called "The Conscience of a Liberal". Yes, there have been some periods the word was demonized and there has been some avoidance of it by some liberals, but as usual Pabster gets it wrong, in this case by gross exaggeration.

Might I suggest "Conscience Of A Conservative" by Barry Goldwater?

Now, I'm not '100%' liberal; I agree with the 'real' conservatives on some areas and disagree with most liberals on a few, but generally, I'm proudly liberal.

Nice to see you admit it

It's a shame the others won't.

However, I also DON'T like when people lie to start wars. I don't like narrow minded people who want any kind of power. I don't like advocates of "tradition", "god and country" and "faith" (when I say advocates, I mean people who push it on others. I have no qualms with respectful social conservatives, so long as they're not trying to change MY life according to THEIR views). Those are back-wards ideals and are easily used (especially in this day and age, look at the fake conservative party we have in office, or the fake islamic parties who advocate suicidal attacks on "infidels") to warp the peoples minds and to make them follow asinine orders.

That's a good few sentances there....but then you follow with this:

.... hateful warmongering traitors to the american process and progress we have worked so hard to build up in past years. They're not spreading hope and fair democracy, they're spreading their political and military boundaries to create unrest and to further the gap between themselves and 'us'. 'Us' being anyone who disagrees. They're not in it for the betterment of society, they're in it for profit and political and power gains, they're in it for themselves. They're monsters."

And now you sound like a soundbite - spewing lunatic. Eliminate the juvenile name calling and you might actually get people to take you seriously.

I say Rudy is a neo-con. Lets take a look.

Rudy says he will cut taxes. Yet, he says he will NOT cut spending (forget how often he says he cut taxes in NY city, he has said consistently during the Presidential campaign he WON'T cut spending). When asked by Chris Matthews if he won't cut spending how would he deal with the deficit, Rudy said he would GROW us out our deficits.
That's clearly Neo-Con.

Rudy tried to grab every bit of power when he was Mayor of New York. He has supported every Bush attempt to expand the powers of the Presidency. The Unitary President is one of the key features of the Neo-Con plan.

Rudy has said time and time again that Americans should give up their freedoms. In fact he goes farther than Bush, or any neo-con in the belief that we should not have our freedoms.
Thats clearly neo-con.

When asked what Rudy would do to promote democrac and freedom in such countries as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, Rudy said that its not his priority. Isn't that the neo-con policy? Say you are for freedom and democracy, but actually prefer dictatorships in countries that have dictators friendly to the U.S.?

So on the big issues, I'd say Rudy is a big, big neo-con.
Do you agree?

Where exactly have you referenced this neo-con policy at? Is it written somewhere that "this is the official neocon policy"?.

:cookie: Troll on techs

This is pretty close.

Exactly. If techs wants to call him a neo-con - I don't much care because I call him something far worse - a liberal. He'll never get my vote - ever.

Anyway.

I recommend you google "neo-con" to get idea of the history and definition of the word.

So clearly you were for the invasion of Iraq to remove a dictator - because it's Neo-con to support dictators.

Rudy is definitely a person who is tough on crime. How that would translate into Military reaction is a good question. I would settle for a person who is socially conservative and not willing to just start wars simply because we are better and can get away with it. Just because we have military might, it does not mean we should be using it like we did in Iraq.
