Is red meat essentially bad for you?

Red meat (especially beef) is a excellent source of protein and iron. Non-lean red meat should be avoided by those predisposed to heart disease or with high cholesterol.

All others can enjoy red meat so long as it's part of a balanced diet. Too much of any one food or food type is not good for you.

The only thing I can summon to mind is "slashing risks is a good thing". :confused:
