I'd suggest you get your "education" elsewhere... RealOne sucks too much to be installed on any machine. Period.

True it does suck but the BBC's Radio One Essential Mix is only available in RA. That's the only reason I have it.

Is there any history of third-party software or otherwise being able to play Real Media? I'd imagine they'd be shut down fairly quickly by RealNetwork but I'm just looking to satisfy my curiousity.

Why do they go out of their way to make their software so damned intrusive?

I harbor more ill feelings towards Real than I do any other software company.
