I'm pretty sure its a felony here to possess a firearm on a college campus. I know a few girls that were raped. You never saw it in the newspapers or on TV, and the number of rapes in the campus police crime statistics was always 0.

For a more realistic solution try this for the flight type LINK

And if your girl is looking for a fight try this LINK

I have the asp baton 16" and its very concealable, fits in my pocket. FYI you can adjust the tension on the stick so it fully extends before the first blow.

I like the baton!!!

Easier to seriously injure yourself than someone else with those. ;)

I'm liking the punch-dagger idea. Easier to handle than a conventional knife, and very tough to disarm someone without getting shanked in the process.

Find one with a triangular head. "Slit" wounds scab shut on their own - tri-splits frequently require medical attention, and what better way to guarantee one place that you know the asshole will be visiting? :D

People are telling me that I should not let her walk by herself at this time of night. Now I'm wondering is rape this rampant? I plan to get her pepper spray. Any other tips you can provide? I'll be at work until 8:00 pm and I don't mind driving to her school for the first couple of times just to escort her to her car.

Not sure about her university, but at the university I went to they have security escort personnel just for that. It should be free since your tuition pays for that kind of service. Every college I've been to has this service.. some are known by the public more than others. Not a lot of people at my college know about this service until a couple of rape cases occurred within a month, then they started to make the students and faculty aware of this service.

Unless it's a bad neighborhood I wouldn't really worry about it. Like people have said, the vast majority of rapes happen in dating situations.

Pepper spray and a stun gun. I don't know where this punch dagger crap came from. His gf isn't a D&D nerd.

Anyway, I think most college rapes are the kind where a girl gets sh!t faced and gets taken advantage of.

Get her pepper spray.. I plan to for vanny.

Isla Vista though always has crowds i worry about her, because she walks to and fro to her friends place.. but then she does know how to defend herself.

I think she'll be safe.

I would also like to know, as the OP mentioned, how common rape really is. of course barely anybody would admit to it publicly because of humiliation, but I'm sure anybody would anonymously - don't they have anonymous survey statistics about rape at colleges? It'd be interesting to know the true story

Right, because everyone who chooses a highly effective, easily retainable, bladed weapon is a "D&D Nerd" ...

Punch dagger. Your best friend.

What exactly is a punch dagger?

If I could, I'd buy her a gun but that isn't feasible.

Think of a T, where the top part (Horizonatal bar) is the handle and the vertical bar is a knife blade. Brass knuckles with a knife point. They make them in fairly small sizes too.

r those legal???

well with blade weapons it gets really personal, and there can be hesitation. a spray or shock gun isn't like that.
