I just installed Windows 2000 today, and I have no way to see what my CPU temp is, and I don't see an entry for Rain in the Task Manager so, is it running? If Rain isn't Win2K compatible, is there some kind of CPU idling software that is?
Win2K has a native "cpu idle" so you do not need to install a 3rd party application, like Rain, to take care of that process. If you really want one, go to http://www.cpuidle.de and get CPUidle for Win2k.
