Is Raid 0 faster than a single drive?

I took forever to install UT2004 on my machine. Is there a possibility that Raid 0 would speed that up? And by how much if that is the case?

Yes and no. Certain processes would be faster. Will you notice a difference? Depends on what you're using it for.

Games with long load times will generally load faster, and RAID 0 is also of benefit for video editing.

Don't expect DOUBLE the access times - it'll be nowhere near that.

The cons are the additional risk of data loss. As long as you're prepared for that.
