Is Propel bad for you?

Clearly its all relative to what one compares it to, but for arguments sake, lets say that Propel is the main source of water one intakes in their daily diet. The amount of sugar is small. And it even has a decent amount of B vitamins. But does it contain the negative components one would find in artificially sweetened products such as diet soda and the like? Further, compared to Gatorade or Vitamin Water, which have much more sugar content....what would you say?

It has a horribly high concentration of DHMO, one of the most lethal substances known to man.

I don't know if it's specifically bad for you, and I'm sure a google search might give you some ideas about that... but I have to ask: why? Just drink water. It's cheaper and definitely not bad for you, unless you drink a cubic meter of it :) And honestly - do you really need more sugar in your diet?

LOL... I was gonna post something to this affect... until I realized DHMO was the same thing I was going to post about. I'd just never seen it abbreviated like that. :)

I don't like the taste of regular water :)

And it only has 6 grams, total, in a 24 ounce bottle. A soda can have as much as 40 in a a 12 ounce can.

I have the same dilemma in that I can't drink plain water with say a meal, but prefer not to drink juices and sodas.

I have tried all of the flavored waters...Propel, Aquafina, Dannon, Nestle.

There is always a trade-off...some are flavored with Splenda to add sweetness...others contain high sodium content.

In the case of Propel, not only is it wicked expensive, but its sodium content is fairly high.

My favorite flavored water at the moment is Aquafina Splash.

I wouldn't drink anything that had all those little sweaty people swimming around in it...

That's the reason the sodium content is so high.
