so at a local walmart, a jug of OJ, Apple, Grape, or any other juice would be between 3 to 5 dollars. a jug of Pomegranate juice( a little bit smaller jug) is $10 dollars.

Is this drink really that powerful as adverstised(in terms of heart disease, cholestrol, antioxidants etc etc? Does the price really reflect it's benefit? any have any experience?

If I drink this daily, along with taking multi vitamins, is that am I taking too much nutrietion? Any concerns if I decide to make this drink my daily routine?

Well, the price is partially so high because it's extremely difficult to juice. Most berries, which are difficult as well, will have the same high price. Why don't you just drink green tea instead? That will pretty much do the same thing and it's much cheaper. And no, you're not taking in too much nutrition if you take a multivitamin with it. Often times, unless you cut it in half, your body excretes most of the vitamin by about mid-day so you don't really have to worry about vitamin overdose, especially if you drink your stuff a little bit later in the day.

Like I said, go with green tea 'cause I can't imagine paying $10 for a small jug of juice. It's not worth it.

Along with what SociallyChallenged said, can you think of ANY product that provides that caliber of benefits?

No? Thought so :) It's all marketing man. There is no magic bullet; if there was, everyone would be drinking (or eating) it. Pretty much anything healthy you eat will do those things for you. The key isn't drinking magic juice, it's eating healthy consistently. It's like my friend who eats a McDonalds salad and diet soda once a week and thinks she's eating healthy.

All that said, it still is very good, and very tasty, and makes for great margaritas.

I only buy a jug of it ($12) on special occasions. Acai juice is more potent in antioxidants though, but I drink these juices for the taste, not just the health benefits.

I can only take so much green tea.

It's good, but it's rare, so it's expensive. Not much juice in a pomegranate.
It's kind of like caviar. It doesn't matter if it's "that good" or not, it's supply and demand setting price.

Pomegranate juice is indeed very good for health. It provides about 16% of an adult's daily vitamin C requirement per 100 ml serving. You can take this juice everyday.

Green, white, or red tea has more proven benefits than almost anything else out there.

A years supply for me = ~1 lb of tea (full leaf).
1 lb green = ~$40.00
1 lb white = ~$75.00
1 lb red = ~$30.00

Tea is great, but the antioxidants in dark-colored fruit are different (anthrocyanins). It's a good idea to get both in one's diet. Plus, some colorful fruits and vegetables have beneficial cartenoids (like tomatoes, spinach, and red bell peppers).
