The only fat I avoid is trans-fat.

Most low-fat processed foods are loaded with sugar.

Counting calories is useless too since not all calories are "equal" (ever hear of the glycemic index?)

If you're going to restict/count anything, it should be refined carbs.

Low fat diet is ineffective

Yeah, umm... I eat 6 of those with sausage and mushroom/ham/whatever in 1 sitting sometimes. Two for Tuesdays is great. Not gaining any weight ain't.
 
By the way, omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fats are quite good for you.

There are essential fatty acids that your body can't produce. Going on a no-fat diet is suicidal.
 
The calories/slice is still important.
Its a simple equation really - end the day with a caloric defecit and you lose weight.

Yes, but most people won't stay on a calorie restricted diet very long since they are always hungry.

I don't eat sugar or white flour and I eat a very limited amount of bread and starchy fruits and vegetables.
