IS Peer to Peer DEAD? Kazaa Lite Doesn't work anymore; Ares BLOWS

For the last few days, Almost nothing will download from my Kazaa Lite K++ folder?? I'm using version 2.4.3 And just today I noticed while searching for a file, in any/all category's the Bandwidth level seems to be capped @ 220K.

So I downloaded Ares.

Well that SUCKS Too. Ares frequently uses up 90-100% of my CPU and when its up and open, I can't surf the Web?

Anyone know where I can get the next to last version of Ares. Seems like the new one is just too buggy?


(And before someone posts this, why would this thread be locked? I'm not doing anything illegal. I have my Share folder disabled).
 
Look guys, I'm going to be honest, brutally

It's a real pain to get a 0.04k a sec on Kazaa lite when I'm trying to get 'Adult' material if ya know what I mean.

What about BT, do they have more or less content than Kazaa Lite?

And for those who use Ares, whats the most downloads you have going @ once?

k-lite works fine for all purposes. i don't know of any sites hosting adult torrents. soulseek also rules, and i hear good things about winmx. p2p is not dead.

Right now, I'm at home and the college hub is closed. While at RIT, their connection really rocked. I usually download at like 5-10mb/sec on OC3 connection. It's mad fast. I can't ultimately wait to return to RIT this fall. 🙂
