Is owning a shuriken really a felony in California?

Well, it's not an old artifact or anything, but the pointy edges are pretty sharp. It would definitely stick deeply into wood or something if thrown correctly.

Wow.. no nunchakus either??? I never actually heard of this law.

So, if I take a pocket knife and glue a ball point pen to the side, I've now made an illegal weapon??????????????
