I could really care less. The internet is a place for me to hang out and be anonymous (being able to not care what people think). I don't strive popularity or strive to stay hidden, I just want to hang out and have a good time.

I am's who I am's.

If you like me, great! If you don't like me, great!
Doesn't bother me either way.

I imagine the general rule is, The more popular you are online, the bigger loser you are in real life.

Of course it is, why else would I give a 10/10 ratings to all those lame Brutuskend jokes.

No, and neither is real world "popularity". I post here because I am a very opinionated person and like to share my ideas. My favorite thing that happens on these boards is when I post something and get blatently disproved. Best way to learn IMHO, get smashed down with facts.

Sounds like you are a loser in both worlds.

Or am I thinking of someone else...?

*Raises hand* I haven't seen these . I remember hearing about it though.

The only thing I think I do that could be considered specifically trying to adjust my "Intarwebz popularity" is not posting comments on moderated websites to avoid kiddies lowering my score. I'm not a huge fan of improper judgment and being rated lower than I should be just bothers me... it's not an online thing, but it seeps into the eWorld.

Do I usually care what I say? Not really, but I do try to keep it remotely civil out of the fact that I should try to respect others. Am I perfect though? Nah. But I can tell you... you don't want to know what's on my mind :D.

Yes!!! I am is the most important person there is on the web. Everyone should tread me like royality. AND I don't want to hear anyone says otherwise. ;)

I like to post because it gives me an excuse not to do something else. Like right now, with me knowing full well that I have a math final at 8 tomorrow and I have a C in the class.

Procrastination is a b!tch, and ATOT is her name.

*looks at postcount*

Well it was important at one time...but given my decline in posting, i'd say no. It's a way to pass time...but i no longer care. I don't care about my real life persona, or my online one. both are equally worthless.

No way. If I cared about being popular I'd make at least a token effort to be polite or censor myself a bit when I post.

I post here for a few reasons. One of which is that any time you basically have an open forum of thousands of people it's a great time to ask questions or solicit opinions. Hell, I had a question about some music from Southpark and someone here figured out what it was within an hour, it was some insanely obscure generic track from a software program.

I enjoy arguing, and honestly it's pretty easy to win arguments here, because most people are either A) 12 or B) have the intelligence of a 12 year old.

I also enjoy the anonyminity to rant about stuff. In normal society you can't rant and rave about girl/guy double standards, stupid people, tiny continuity errors in movies, or a bunch of other stuff. Here, you can, and if people don't like it, what the hell do I care?

I usually post because I am bored and have nothing better to do when at work.

Or when I'm sucking all my bandwidth with torrents or whatever.
