In my experience, I've reapplied my HSF to my Coppermine chip 6 times and the AS tube is 80% occupied. So, yes, a tube of AS is more than enough for two CPUs.

NO! One tube is not enough! j/k

<< I just read on some site that a tube is good for 30+ applies >>

should be good for more than that. :D
Just apply a really thin layer, too much and it gets really messy. Be careful and not let it touch any of the bridges of resistors.

I've had the same tube for over a year and it's done about 30 installs and is about 2/3 full

AS1 tubes are also much bigger. One of the "features" of AS2 is that it comes in a smaller tube for a higher price.

So AS and AS2 is the same ?

I have *TWO* AS :). I bought it when it was still unknown product
and have to buy it at applied materials :). If it's the same then
I don't need to buy AS2.

I thought, I read somewhere that the AS2 don't have any electric conductivity anymore (Just a little and harmless).

I fried my Athlon 750 because of it :)

It's almost impossible to make a tube small enough to contain only enough for 2 CPUs.

Diamond conducts heat about 40% better than silver does, and one company is now selling thermal paste laced with diamond powder.
