Tell him $300

dude you have 2 7800gt , you don't need a X1900XTX :(

Remember he is selling it so he can buy a G80 8800GT for $350 in mid september

Ahh... too much guessing.. You dont know if there will be a GT, if it will come out in september, or if it will be 350$...

Plus, a x1900xtx is = or > 2x 7800, and IQ which will make you not want to go back to your nvidia cards.. GO FOR IT!

He definitely doesn't need a X1900XTX after having two 7800GTs. My advice to you would be to save up for the eventual coming of G80. You're going to feel the pain, even after spending only $300 dollars for what is a really small performance difference.
I'm sorry, but an XTX just doesn't justify the price after what you already have in your high-end system...

Edit: Thanks for the link, Ackmed. But if you were implying that he buy a new one himself rather than buy a pre-owned one, he already mentioned that it is sealed and brand-spanking-new - and he doesn't have to pay for shipping or wait for his rebate to be processed!

After moving from two 7800GTs@550/1300 to my current card, I'd say it was well worth the switch. Performance is similiar but I don't have to deal with LCD tearing in some games and the ease of overclocking via software voltage adjustements is worth it in and of itself. I'd say go for it.

Even if you sell your 7800GTs for $100 each (which is ridiculously low) the $100 upgrade would still definitely be worth it. Jump on it and make sure he doesn't change the deal on you!

i can understand waiting for a new video card, for dx10, but like i'v replied to others a few times before, if your not using vista, dont even consider dx10, and like may other's have said, who knows how long till game developers support dx10....dx9 is going to be it at least for a little bit longer. so why not go for the best dx9 games.....also, how much better performance will you get with that xtx compaired to your two 7800gt's. is it better or worse....i think its only marginally better. and just looking at the anandtech bench from oblivion, the x1900xtx is considerably more powerful than the two 7800gt's in sli...but thats just that one instance...i'd look up more benches.

Good luck selling those!
Go to FS/FT site and search (7800) for yourself. There are truck loads of 7800gt(x) for sale. Dunno what it is? it seems like either no one is in the mood buying those these days or folks are unloading them to upgrade.

its because nobody want them. when you can get 7900gt for 202 (recertified evga) or 23-00 retail why would you buy a 7800gt for more than 150.

People don't place realistic prices on their 7800GT/X's (or most other parts for that matter) on FS/FT & thats why they sit ... list them at $130 each shipped Priority & they should move pretty quickly for close to your asking price ... +/- $50 for the XTX is totally worth it.

I found those recerties @ $202 @ the Egg but the question is:
are these the returns from the last eVGA's fiasco batches?
