Is Neuromancer worth a read?

So I've been burning through books lately and was wondering how Neuromancer was. Don't know a whole lot about it other than my sci-fi lit professor enjoyed it. So is it a good book or is there a better Sci-Fi book I should look at first?

Yes, it's worth the read. It was very far ahead of it's time. Keep the publishing date (1984) in mind while you read it, I think you'll be a little shocked.
