Netflix's site is slow as balls for me right now. It takes forever to load and then only partially completes before becoming unresponsive. I also can't get any videos to play through my browser. Netflix says it's some kind of silverlight problem, but reinstalling silverlight doesn't help. Everything works fine on my ipad, iphone, roku, and apple tv though.

Anyone else having trouble or is this just me?

Edit: Nevermind. Looks like they fixed it. 40 minutes of me fucking around, reinstalling silverlight, restarting my computer, etc., and they fix it 30 seconds after I post a thread about it. *grumble*

Me too, kept giving silverlight error. I ended up going to comedy central and watched the daily show instead.

Yep, at first I thought it was recently upgraded Firefox 29, flash, or something else.

Works fine with FIOS.

Keep in mind they supposedly account for 33 percent of ALL internet traffic these days.

Thats a cubic fuckton of bandwidth. They cant be perfect all day every day.

It's TWC and other providers throttling bandwith, so they can get the same deal Comcast got; ie. Netflix pays your ISP, or you suffer sometimes 30 minute outages.

I dropped Netflix tonight. It had a lot to do with not being able to watch House, but also with the realization that the no matter how much Nflix has, the selection is still bad. So many Bollywood and gay-based movies are the bread and butter of Nflix it seems... where are all the docs you would see nowhere else, and so on.

Nflix can't change at this point. Jump ship or enjoy the extremely limited foreign/gay/whatever offerings. Maybe you were like me, and expected a monthly refresh, where some good movies might appear, but it's all no-demand stand up artists, Bollywood/Korean, and gay movies.

Luckily I have a 1000 flicks on DVD. Will go through all of them, and hopefully a service where I can see new docs, and favorite films will appear. Amazon/Redbox/Hulu/etc/etc... none were anywhere close to the stable of Nflix, and I'm not holding my breath... time to read more.

Funny, because I was starting to think they have greatly improved their selection.

I couldn't load the webpage last night at all, but could browse and stream fine from Windows Media Center. Searching in the Media Center interface sucks though.

If you're seeing Bollywood and gay-based movies, it's because you're watching Bollywood and gay-based movies...

This happened last night to me after I updated my AMD video card to the new Catalyst 14.4 version. Everything else like You Tube worked fine. I reimaged my drive back to the 13.12 drivers and it worked fine. Related? Who knows.....
