Hello all.

Im currently running my E6600 at 3.40GHz at 1.52v. My temps are 43c idle and about 48c-50c full load. Is my vcore safe for 24/7 usage? Will 1.52v fry my chip given my temps? I cannot run a lower vcore becuase ill get crashes in certain games. Help appreciated.

Can you not run prime95 stable with a lower vcore? My E6400 runs at 3.40GHz with two instances of prime95 stable at 1.425

EDIT: Then again, your temps are *still* lower than mine. How is that possible, if you have a higher vcore? Maybe my Tuniq Tower isn't on properly.

Those temperatures are pretty good. You sure you can't go any lower on the vCore?

By the way, your RAM timings at 900 have made me think of possibly tightening mine...

How long will you use the E6600?

There is a decent percentage chance that your processor at that temp and voltage will experience problems within 3 years.

I suggest that if you want to keep that overclock to invest in better cooling (water, refrigeration).

How do you define full load?
