Is my tablet bugged or is Samsung auto correct really this bad?

On my tablet Samsung auto correct is constantly changing my correctly spelled words to random bullcrap.

Like for example it will change 'the' to 'th e'

???

Is there a setting or something somewhere to get it to not do this stuff?

When it gives you the correction, you should be able to longpress on the one you don't and select "don't predict anymore". Plus, it's android... you have lots of better keyboard options than whatever garbage Samsung is currently packing in.

You should be able to remove entries from your keyboard dictionary or clear it all together. Should be in Settings.

My vote goes to the Google Keyboard.

As mentioned you can long press a nonsense suggestion and select "don't predict anymore" or use another keyboard option from the google store.

afaik, touchwiz actually used a version swiftkey, maybe still does.
