I actually did spend a minute looking, as I was also curious, but not enough to spend too much time on it. It's an i5. In this scenario(it's a full computer with Win 7 and a good chip for less than $200), I don't think it matters which die.

It does a bit, since 3.1GHz i5-2400 are really common in refurb systems, but that would be the Elite 8200.

If it is the LGA1156, I'd probably go with a used T3500 over it. There were a few yesterday that sold <$100 shipped, and come with a Win7 CoA. You get more full featured MB, a much better PSU, and generally better build quality. Toss in the 120GB SSD I linked for $40, and you're good to go.

Ok I am looking at those T3500's.

What is the best processor of the bunch? The Xeon Quad Cores? If so, I may purchase one soon.

Also, some have nvidia quadros. Should I grab one of those? I will probably take all the parts out in and put it in my Lian Li case.

Oh woops, probably last question...

Is the 8800 GT I have completely worthless? Should it just be tossed away after I upgrade? And are there good videos cards out there for under a $100 bucks for what I want to do? (office work, movies). I don't plan to game on this PC.

More or less, yeah. You may be able to get $20 for it, but it will cost you to list it, and it will cost you to ship it. At the absolute best, you could break even. Maybe. If I were you, I'd keep it as a spare. The GTX 650 that Ketchup found for $65 is about 4-5x as fast as that 8800GT, along with being many, many generations newer.

Choose the one with the fastest speed I guess because single thread performance is a problem with those older cpus.
I assume you are looking at some old Quadros in which case, the 650 is much better.

Description says it's "Intel Core i5 4th Gen 3.1 GHz" which would make it an i5-4440 but that's new enough that it seems unlikely at that price. (but a great solution if accurate)
