Hey all..

Having issues getting my KNOWN working Santa Cruz to work..

A64 3000+ @ 2160
Neo 2 Platty

WinXP SP2

I had it working in my Epox nforce 2 board and now am unable to get it going on this machine..

I have disabled onboard sound.
I have tried multiple PCI slots.
I have installed the drivers from turtle beach with no luck..

Windows just doesn't see it period, drivers or not.

I have pulled the card and rebooted, then reinstalled the card seeing if XP would detect.

No Dice.

Is the card dead?

Just threw in a older SB PCI 16 which is a working system pull.

Machine doesn't detect ANYTHING at all.. Regaurdless of drivers.

BTW: This is a fresh format of Windows XP SP2.

Not right now, I have a very hard time believing that ALL my PCI slots are dead. I will be thoroughly pissed.

Let me try a 5 port USB PCI card.

That's what it was afraid of. I think you have serious mobo problems. I think it might be time for an RMA. :( Sorry, dude.

Double check and see if there are any chipset drivers that need to be installed? I know with win2k, the earlier via chipsets did not function correctly without the 4-in-1 drivers.. (they call it Hyperion now)

Make sure you have the AGP\PCI lock working. If there's no explicit setting for it in the BIOS set the AGP speed to 67MHz.

Before you RMA, go back and check everything. Set everything to "Auto" in your BIOS and get rid of any OCing. Double check and make sure you've installed all the most current drivers. Make sure the PCI cards are seating all the way. Try again.

Good luck! :sun:
