Is my router screwing internet UT gaming?

I'm new to cable broadband, just got a Netgear FR114P router for my network. Internet, Q3, UT2003, UT2004 work fine. UT will pull up the server list, and download maps and such if required, but then stalls at 'connecting' :|

Do I need port forwarding or something? I've checked Netgear's site, but all this incoming, outgoing, services, rules, etc. is rather confusing to me.

Any ideas? Thanks.

if you connect your computer directly to your cable modem (no router, I know, usually bad news), can you pull it down? That would narrow the search to a router issue or a game/system issue.

Now why didn't I think of that?

Nope, still doesn't work....guess it's time to post this in the Software forum 🙁

Thanks for the tip 🙂
