Is my power supply keeping me from going on standby?

I have a cheap a$$ 12$ PSU. Every time I go to standby my system locks and the hard drive light stays on awhile. I have XP Pro. Is this normal? I waited over 2 minutes one time and nothing! So im thinking its the cheap power supply, maybe the motherboard on the PSU is keeping me form standby. My mobo is a soltek purple ray SL-75DRV5. pLEASE HELP!!!

It could be, but I don't think the power supply is keeping you from entering standby. I think it?s due to some other driver or hardware incompatibility. Is the motherboard on the Win-XP supported list? You can get the latest compatibility list here...
