Is my power supply causing my restarts?

hey guys, I just built a new computer and it has worked great, but for some reason it has been randomly crashing, usually during games, but also just randomly (overnight for example). I thought it might have been becuase I was overclocking, but I took all OC'ing off, and the same thing happens. Also, my case temp is under 30, and CPU temp is low 30s, so I dont think heat is an issue.

I am using a fortron FSP400-60GLN 400W and here is my setup:

Asus A8R-MVP
3700+ SanDiego
2 OCZ platinum
1 36 gb raptor
1 extra hard drive
1 optical drives
2 120mm case fans
X1900GT (75 watts)
Centurion 5

My rear exhaust fan is only running at 1200 rpm, so I dont think its stealing air from the PSU fan. I was told this was a good PSU, and that it was stable, Im just trying to figure out what is causing the crashes.

Any ideas what it is???

Thanks ahead of time.

Is 400W enough to run that hardware?

If it is, RMA the PSU. Fortron makes good PSUs, but you have to allow some defects here and there. Also check your Event Viewer to see if the locks are related to a specific hardware thingy (Start - Control Panel - Admin Tools - Event Viewer - System)

If it's not the PSU, it could be memory. Try running on just one stick, trying each stick out, switching RAM slots, etc.

Should I RMA it to ewiz or fortron? I would have to pay for shipping with ewiz, it would cost me about $8 - thats alot for a $47 PSU in the first place. Ewiz also seems anal about shipping it back in brand new packaging, and you have to have everything that came with it, and im not sure if i have everything. AND, that would also mean that I would have to use my backup computer for 2-4 weeks, somethign I REALLY dont wanna do.....

any other ideas?????

RMA it back to Fortron then? Ask for a cross-ship?

While you're at it ask if the PSU can even stabley run your hardware (I think it should).

Do you have the "automatically restart on blue screen" enabled in windows? If so, turn it off and see if it's blue-screening. If it is, give us some details from them.
