Is my old Palm Treo Pro good for anything?

While cleaning my office I found my old Palm phone. The sim was removed (I think) and put in a Samsung M520 because it was more stable and predictable.

Can it be unlocked and just used with wifi for checking the weather or whatever?

I was charging it and while I was it started to warn me of a low battery and imminent shutdown. Now it won't even do that-- just a blank screen.
