Cleared the cmos, all the fans start, the HD spins up, the video card fan is spinning, but it doesn't activate the monitor.

The LED indicator shows "FF" which only says "Boot attempt (INT 19h)" in the manual. WTH does that mean?

Hopefully the "FF" doesn't stand for Frankie's Fvcked.

P.S. I'm letting it sit with the cmos jumper on cleared mode for a while, I heard sometimes that works.

I'd appreciate any other ideas anybody has. Thanks.

Does your board shows FF all the time or does it cykle through a series of tests to stop at FF?
If it cykles through different postcodes and stops at FF all should be ok.

May I ask what video card you are using?
Have you tried the videocard in another motherboard?

If the videocard is not getting any signal even though it cycles through different postcodes, I bet you are using a GF4 videocard?
Might even be...Leadtek or Visiontek?
If so, take a look in this thread:
8RDA+ GF4 problems??

I sure hope that isn´t the case for you though.
If it is, please report it there!

Nope. As soon as the power hits the MB it shows "FF" and stays there.

I have a AIW 8500 128 AGP. [edit] Can I rule out the fact that it's not the graphics card, since I physically removed the card, and the FF code and non-starting process stayed the same??
No other pci slots are being used.

Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think I was the only one here this Saturday night.:)

Ok, since it doesn´t cycle through any postcodes at all it seems to something else than the gxf.
Haven´t heard any problems with ATI on Nforce2, just GF4...wich seems very strange.

Make sure the memory is seated properly, if using 2 modules try one and also try different dimms.
I am using 1 module in the dimm closest to CPU.

Just out of curiosity I looked at my 8RDA+ board (side of the case was already off) and I have the FF message on my board right now and it is running fine (I am typing this message on that machine). So I really don't know what that message is for

BTW I am running a Radeon 8500 64MB board that actually runs better now than it did on my Shuttle AK35GTR board.

FF= Fully functional.
But if the board doesn´t cykles through postcodes at all when booting there is something wrong.
When it reaches FF the boot of OS begins.
You alway´s have FF after a sucessfull boot.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. The mobo is on it's way back to NewEgg for RMA. I think I'm going to try to find one locally, since NewEgg is out of stock right now.

Stickin' with Epox.

What PSU? I had errors like this with my KT266A after going from a KT133A. Turned out it was my PSU, 300W wasn't enough. I got a 400W Antec and its been awesome.

After POST, the LCD display doesn't matter. The message during post is the important one.

After POST, FF seems to be normal. All the Epox I've built lately show FF when done with POST. 8RDA+, 4PEA+, 8K7A+

All work fine.

300W is enough. Have to make sure it's a quality 300W or higher though probably.

Found the same problem when I accidentally selected 200MHz FSB with multiplier at 15.0. Removed my CPU from its socket, waited a second, re-seated, re-booted, all was well :)

Peace
