Not sure which motherboard I have but my computer is a HP Pavilion p6540y.

No sorry. This link says the computer has a motherboard with only 1 16x PCI-e slot.

You require a board with 2 slots that are compatible with 16x PCI-e physical connections. Also the power supply of the computer is unlikely to be able to power an additional card.

Crossfire is supported even on the Intel 965/975 chipset afaik.
