The other day I booted into windows and noticed my cdrw was not showing up in My Computer. I shutdown and switched some cables around and it suddenly appeared. I, then, shutdown and put them back to normal and everything was OK again. Today I get home and have about the same problem but I notice the light on the front is constantly on (not sure if it was on during my prior problem).
Could this be a sign of a dying/dead drive?
If I put a cd in it and try to poen My OCmputer, it stops responding.???
BTW I know the ide cable is OK.
