$1007 every six month for an 05 chevy trailblazer (full coverage of course), renters insurance, and life.
I do have a claim and a ticket on my record and I am over 25.

How much do you pay?

Time to shop for insurance ?

for car insurance, I pay ~$300/6 months for a 98 grand marquis (full coverage). Renters is about $107 with a diff company. Life insurance is through work and I can't recall how much that is. I have no claims or tickets and I'm 30

It depends on where you live, OP, your zip code... what kind of life insurance, what kind of renters insurance as well.

I think my renters is like 12K includes flooding.
Life insurance is 25K policy, and cashout after 5 years or so with a 5% return.

Depends a TON on your zipcode

I moved from Tucson where it was 800/6mos to Vegas and my insurance is well over $1000/6mos after 1 claim, 1 ticket, over 25 for an 05 dodge daktoa

Sounds high. I live in New York and I had a ticket on my license for a stop sign infraction and I was paying around 1400 a year. The ticket is off now and I'm over 25 so now it's down to around 1100 a year for my GTO. If I was driving a Honda Civic I'm sure it would be lower.

Call around every 6 months. me and my wife went from Geico to Esurance and out bill dropped over $200 and we added more coverage.

You pay in one year than i pay on all this...
2008 Saturn Astra (Full)
1996 Sonoma.
1993 Boneville
2006 Triumph Daytona 675 (Full)
Doing that math it comes out to about 1800 + 400 for my homeowners.
I am 27 with no claims no tickets.

Like most said, it comes down to where you live.

I pay $406 for 6 months of full coverage on a '07 FJ Cruiser & a '99 Dodge Ram combined. Sucks to be you.

about $980 / 6 mo

03 Acura CL-S
05 Ford 500
98 Chevy S10 (no collision coverage)

It's like 300 for the cars and 200 for the truck ... IIRC ...

Homeowners is another ~650/yr ...

That seems fairly high, you can probably get a better rate.

I'm pretty sure student discounts stop after age 25 (the resulting decrease at that age though is probably much more than the student discount would be), but it depends on the company and state.

Try a GEICO quote. It takes a good 10 minutes to enter all of your info, but it's quick to compare coverage options once done. I pay $217/6 months for liability/property/uninsured. Now my coverage is little in comparison to yours (I only have the state mandated things, except at high amounts), but I did find that GEICO was by far the cheapest for me.

They said the ticket will be affecting my rate for 2 years, and I lose student discount... yeah I am thinking it is expensive. I will shop around for sure now.

I pay around $1040 / 6mos for my wife and I. '08 Pontiac G6 and '03 Jeep Grand Cherokee + Renters Insurance ($60k) and all 3 have a $500 deductible. I can drop the Renter's which is around $280-300/year and for me personally it was like $576 / 6mos with the '08 G6. We're in Houston.

just dont change insurance too often... I read somewhere that it can lower your credit score...

how, i dont even begin to understand... but it does.
