my hard drive keeps on making exceptionally loud access noises, and i've been having these weird freezes, only one blue screen so far tho. i just upgraded my comp a few days ago tho so i'm not sure. i was a little worried about my drive before.. but now all this new stuff is making the situation more complicated.. can anyone help? is there a way to see if my drive is dying or not? and just in case, anyone know of a good place to order a new one? (screw this oem stuff.. i'm getting a real warranty on my next drive ;))

What brand of HD is that? If your drive start making weird noises, it's probably time for RMA if it's under warranty.

thanks.. i just need to figure out if it's really my drive, or if it's something else that's messing w/my system. i tried to run the ibm drive fitness test, but when i rebooted, it gave me the invalid non-system disk error :( and ideas?

IBM doesnt cover OEM drives, you'll have to go to the OEM that the drive was sold to in order to get warranty.
