Oh yea...and 2 small kids too.....Hes seems quite normal when we're talking about anything else. He dosent run around yelling about Aliens....He simply has his beliefs that he feels strongly about. Those beliefs just seem wierd to me.....and I cant see how a normal grown man could think like that.

Its not like he constantly runs around with a crazy face talking about how the world is gonna end......he only mentions it when the topic comes up and he seems normal when he talks about it......what he is saying just seems way out there too me

Whats crazy is to expect a qualified answer on this board. If you are truly concerned about him, have him be diagnosed by a licensed professional.

just because people have different views and opinion (even extreme ones, and some that don't make sense) doesn't mean they are crazy. he has some extreme views, big deal. they may or may not make sense to you. who cares. i would let him be and enjoy his friendship, not talk sh!t about him. sounds like a "colorful" person. maybe you should question your views, they may sound crazy from his point of view...

Who said anything about expecting a "Qualified" answer?

We all have our little quirks, and tendencies towards different behaviors.

Off the cuff, he seems to be pretty interesting, can he keep a job?

Neurosis=odd, but can keep a job.
Psychosis=odd & can't hold down a job for any length of time.

The UFO stuff & conspiracy theories are an example of delusional behavior & can be a symptom of a serious illness, or if he's rich, he's just eccentric:D

I would encourage you to feed into his delusions & help him find evidence of UFO's (hang a plastic model from a string outside his window, or rent a gray alien suit & dance around in his back yard during a dark night with no moon) These simple behaviors on your part should push him over the edge & allow him to find the help he so desperately needs:D :D

He also is a major Raiders fan (football) and he believs with all his heart that the league officials get paid to call against them ( "its a conspiracy"). And the year the Patriots won the superbowl...(after the world trade center atacks) he believes the president fixed it to where the Patriots would win because it was a "Patriotic time".

Its scary to see how seriously he feels is about all this....I could go on and on about the stuff he believes...but to im trying to keep it short.

My wife who works in a mental instituion believes its a form of schizophrenia.......

Do you guys think this is normal?

I have many much older friends who completely believes in god, bible, afterlife and lots of other fvcked up sh1t. Some even believe they can talk to the god and can feel him... I'd say they're crazy but apparently it's completely normal. So I'd say by the current standard, your friend is normal too.

If he's you're friend then you should at least give him a dout that it "could be" ture.. you never know. The UFO and aliens could be true, just as the football games,. As long as you're not 100% sure that it's fake then it's posible that it can still be ture. Can you prove that there's no way that he'll ever see a UFO in his backyard? It's good to have a open mind. :)

We, aliens, do exist. Don't make us come down there and anal-probe you.

Edit: We think we just might do it anyway.

Yup, it would be wrong not to , since we came all this way and all. beside all of us Earth Visiting Alien do it. It's a Trend just like taking a picture on a Trip. Were even nice enought to let you "not getting any" males mate with a "nice figure female", but due to restriction we have to wipe that part from your memories, but don't be sad we also kept a record of it on our 3d realtime holo imaging recording device. We will be happey to sent you a copy converted in your video format when the restrictions are lower. ;)

I believe that there is other intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe, have they visited? My best educated guess is yes they have (Or at least one alien species has). They reason I say that is because scientists say our solar system is far younger then most in universe, so it would be easy to assume that the other 'older' solar systems that are out there harbor far more intelligent life then found here on earth.....

As for your friend seeing flying saucers, he is crazy ;) I bet what he is seeing is our own satellites cruising across the sky (I see them nightly and up close when I use my telescope).

Reminds me of that cult in California, I think, few years back. They commited mass suicide when a comet passed close to the earth (Hale-Bopp I think was the comet) believing the comet was actually a spaceship and they was going to get picked up once they killed themselves......

Trust your gut - if you are seriously asking the question you already know the answer.

Good luck.
