Is my CPU or Motherboard fried?

I just put together an Athlon 1.33 ghz system with an ASUS A7V133 motherboard and I installed the required heatsink and fan. The system started fine and was running with no problems so I decided to up the FSB to 140 mhz and I ran 3DMark2001 for about 8 hours with no problems or lockups. This morning I defragged my hard drive without any problems but when I went to reboot my computer from Win 98, my monitor went into sleep mode and my computer would not reboot. I turned off the power supply switch and pulled the plug several times but the only thing I get now is just my CPU fan and my Northbridge fan coming on for about a second and then they both stop and nothing happens, I can't even get my computer to post. I replaced the power supply and it still does the same thing so that is not it, did I fry my CPU or could there be some other problem? I would appreciate any help, thanks.

i doubt VERY much you harmed your cpu or board since it is new equipment and you used a very small overclock...you said your fans come on for about a second so your board is getting power...it's unlikely, but maybe your cpu overheats past the level allowed by your bios, or your onboard thermal sensor is reading wrong...

i would suggest you remove your cmos battery from your board for a few seconds, then try to reboot...if you can get into your bios, tweak it out the way you want but don't up the fsb again!

good luck
