Hey Guys (and gals =),
I was considering upgrading my video card (Leadtek GeForce2 GTS 32MB) to a Visiontek GeForce4 Ti4400. My system is not the "latest-and-greatest," but it is no slow-poke either. Here are the specs:
Mobo: Asus A7M266 (AMD 760 Chipset)
CPU: AMD Athlon Thunderbird "C" 1.33GHz (can be overclocked via 150MHz FSB to 1.50GHz, if needed)
RAM: 512MB Crucial PC2100 @ 2-2-2
Video: Leadtek GeForce2 GTS 32MB
Sound: Creative SB Live! Platinum 5.1
HD: Western Digital WD1000JB (8MB Cache)
DVD: Pioneer DVD-105S (will be upgrading to Lite-on LTD-163 soon)
Do you think this system will provide enough power for the GeForce4 Ti4400? Will I run into any bottleneck issues? Should I upgrade to the KT266A w/AthlonXP before I get the new video card to truly take advantage of its power? I really want to wait for the AthlonXP 2500+ (2.0GHz Thoroughbred), but I will upgrade now if my system will limit the GeForce4's performance. Thanks for your input.
