I have a BFG 6600 GT OC, and when I go to the nvidia settings, and look at the temps, it is in the yellow at about 72C (after playing games). It is idleing at around 58C. Do you think this is too hot? I don't really want to go into liquid cooling if I don't have to.

I have 2x6600Gt Asus and they run around 45-50 idle. I highly doubt youll have to jump straight to w/c to ease the prob;) Maybe apply some AS5 and re-seat the hs.
You have proper case cooling I assume?

You should not have a desktop fan blowing into your computer, it creates electrostatical problems among other things.

Get chassi fans instead.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a case engineered for airflow? :p

Try what the other member suggested and use some AS5 as thermal paste.

My case has 1 80mm fan in it and that is all it will hold. It is a cheap e-machines case.

Edit: and it doesn't have proper airflow
