You already posted this, and you also already bought everything here (as you stated in the other thread).

If you really want the truth then ok.

1. MOBO is a waste of money, a DFI board is nicer and much cheaper of overclocking.
2. Your processor is awesome!!!
3. The PQI memory is ok, but I would have gone with some OCZ or Corsair value
4. The WD is ok, I am not a fan, i would have gone with Seagate.
5. ThermalTake is junk
6. The video card is good, but why skimp on it, with the other high end parts you have, you should have at least gone with a x800xl, maybe even a 7800GT.
7. I am not sure the reason behind getting a DVD Burner and a DVD ROM, that just doesn't make sense????
8. The Arctic Silver 5 is bad a$$.

Overall it's ok, but the video card makes me a little sick to spend so much on a machine and go with that underpowered card.

CPU: +$80 for X2 4400+ which is double the L2 cache, 512kb x2 vs 1MB x2.
Video card: +$25 go for 6600 GT, but X700 is good too.

1. Get an Asus A8n-SLI premium mobo
2. Better PSU
3. OCZ or Corsair RAM
4. If you are planning on gaming get an AMD 64 4000+ San Diego instead of an X2. More gaming performance for less$

Well you chose pretty good! You bought good parts and I didn't know you got them already, my posts are merely suggestions. Good system you got tho! Beats mine :)

Quick question. I do not know much about media and burning but why is it silly to have a DVD burner and a DVD-ROM. Can't you now burn a DVD from a DVD?

Thanks, Leigh

i'd be careful readily announcing the direct copying of copyrighted materials like so...but just between us, is DVD shrink all you use, or another burning app? and when using DVD shrink, does it copy the material directly from the one drive to the other, bypassing a write to the HDD?

well i also use nero thats only to burn movies that i download, and yes dvd shrink makes an exact copy of the DVD in like 10min, and it can write it on your HDD if you want it to

Yeah the X700Pro isn't all that great. You could have saved about $90-$100 by getting the DFI Ultra-D (or even if you like ABIT, the ABIT AN8 Ultra) and getting an X800XL instead of an X700Pro.....waste of money on an SLI mobo if you're getting an ATI card IMO.
