hello everyone,

i have a weird issue with my video card. the specs are in my sig. everytime i reboot, i get no display. the display finally does come on when i get to the windows login screen. because of this issue, i can not get into the bios since i can not see anything - it's just a dark screen. i even clocked my video card back to default speeds and get the same results. i am able to play all the current games without any stability issues and temperatures are fine. anyone have a clue what might be going on here? thanks. :)

Is the molex cable connected properly? This sounds like a power issue maybe. That Fortron psu is definitely beefy enough to handle the system, just might be that the molex decided to come loose or something. I was thinking about plugging in a different monitor too...but that wouldn't explain anything, if it comes one at the windows login screen.

Try plugging the monitor into the other DVI output on your card.

You can also hit pause during bootup, to pause at bios screen and go into the monitors OSD to see what kind of signal is being output. Also make sure input is set to dvi, if you have a dvi/analog input on the monitor.

i think you were on to something. i decided to shut the system down and unplug the power cord from the psu. i also unplugged the molex cable that connected to the video card. i let the pc sit for about 10-15 minutes. finally, i plugged everything back in making sure all connections were snug, and this seemed to fix my issue. thanks for the help :)
