I would just VM them on a single machine, or two.

Well, they all serve a different purpose to me. I have three at home, one for the mrs, and two for me (one my main system and one for ripping/burning/quasi-HTPC thing), using a KVM. And I brought one to my graduate office at school (so it can have multiple OC12 connection to the Internet, learn to play with server, etc).

Who has all the space for 4 systems.

-lol-
I know, my wife is freaking out when I told her I can build another one from spare components that I collected along the years (upgrade this, and this goes to this, this goes to this, and boom I got an extra parts).. and this time even I don't know where to put it.. :)

Find a 2600+ (2400+ is second choice) tbred with a 266 FSB, and call it a day, the difference will be very noticeable. I just replaced my sisters 1600+ on that same board with a 2600+, and it flat out cooks. You will get even better results because of your VID card (she has a 9700NP). All that for less than 100 bucks.
