Is Mushkin Basic DDR memory good?

Just curious, since they are selling for $73 for 512mb sticks. That is an awesome, and since people tout mushkin all the time. But for the 512mb performance sticks, prices are over $130. Just curious why such a huge price difference, and it the basic stuff any good?

It will have no problem running at it's intended speed, but "good" is subjective. It wont overclock like the high-pref sticks, that's all really.

well do u overclock?

Mushkin sells great memory... but if are just an "average user" get a Kingston stick...

Mushkin is best... Kingston is decent... don't go Generic u will regret! 😛

It's basic, lol. It's good for the money (I guess). However I would rather spend 85.00 on some 512MB PC2100 Infineon.

Haven't used any of the DDR stuff yet, but Mushkin is a good outfit. Their stuff will definitely work as advertised, and they'll stand behind it. Besides that, the last stuff I got from them came in a truly amazing package, definitely top shelf.....
