Is MU-MIMO only needed in router?

Client devices don't also need to support it, right? Because I don't think I've read of any laptops or smartphones or whatever that support it...

It has to be supported on both ends I believe samsung added it to the S7 so everything after that has it.

Very few clients have 3x3 but I think 2x2 is pretty common now.
