I couldn't connect this morning either - tells me my version is too old to connect to the network, but my roomie is running the same version and can connect just fine - off of the same network hub! Must be a registry problem or something....
<--running version 1.3.3

I was getting all kinds of weirdness this morning. It was constantly trying to connect to about 500 different sites. I only noticed it in my firewall logs.

I have been trying to download the LOTR cartoon for five days now. Only getting < 1.0Kb/s :(

I got that error about the version aswell. Isn't there a v2.0 out? I know mine isn't the most current for sure either way though.

People, people, people.....AudioGalaxy

I used Morpheus, and still do some times for Videos, but come on, AudioGalaxy is awesome. I can get full cd rips on that. If you haven't tried it, try it. And if you HAVE tried it, and don't like it....well...then your mom's a whore :p

Nah, you can remove the spyware which comes with AG without any hacking.

Otherwise you can always use the Linux CLI version ;)

Damn Kazaa. I d/l'ed it and removed the spyware. A message pops up claiming that important files were deleted and that I would have to reinstall. Funk DAT!!

I could connect last night, but I'm having troubles now.

My friend gets the "Version too old" message, but is still able to connect and transfer files.

<< Here is more info on the Morpheus situation:

Apparently the outage is intentional on the part of KaZaA's new owners.

Also interesting is the article at heise.de the article links to:

A quote from the heise.de article:

<< Einzelne Anwender der veralteten Software könnten im Moment noch Glück haben. Die Verbindung zum Netzwerk klappt, solange sich ein Supernode findet, bei dem die Protokoll-Umstellung noch nicht vollzogen ist >>

This is the sole reason why some people still can connect using Morpheus.

Translated:

Individual users of the outdated software could have luck for the moment still. The connection to the network folds, as long as a Supernode is, with which the log conversion not yet carried out is

Wait a second! Is Morpheus v1.33 now useless? I now have to install Kazaa 1.5 to get Morpheus "back?"
