Is Mexican food your favorite?

Its seems as though, next to hot dogs and apple pie, fajitas and margarita are quite the norm for most parts of the US. I think there are more Mexican restaurants than any other in this country than other type of ethnic food.

What do you think?
 
I had tacos 3 times last week from 3 different vendors.

Tacos are one of gods perfect foods (and by taco I mean small tiny ass tortilla, al pastor/carne asada, cilantro, onion, salsa)

I like mexican food, but I like chinese/japanese/thai food more.

Mexican food is about the only good thing that ever came across that border...😀

I LOVES me some GOOD Mexican food.
(none of the fast-food "mexican" qualifies as GOOD Mexican food...even EPL)

One of my favorites is Milanesa...essentially carne asada breaded and deep fried. MMMMM-MMM-MMMM-MMMMMMM!

most Americans, unless traveled, have never had real Mexican food in the same way they've probably never had true <insert ethnicity here> food unless you're lucky enough to live in a large city with an ethnic population. Americanized Mexican is awful but I love real Mexican food.

 
I like mexican food, but I like chinese better.

Edit: And by mexican and chinese I mean whatever Americanized versions of each I've been eating all my life at any of the cheap and delicious restaurants scattered liberally across the country.

This. I honestly don't mind some of the americanized stuff but the real thing is awesome.

Ugh. What I consider "American" food, I find to be almost inedible*. Bob Evans restaurant sells "American" food. Meat and vegetables cooked until they no longer have a texture.

*Yes, I'm ignoring all the regional delicacies. We have some delicious food, but I consider typical American to be mid west.

i love mexican food, but its not my fave. ill usually get chinese over mexican, and italian is up on my list. its probably a three way tie between those.

by far there are more mexican places to choose from tho, not sure if its due to being so close to the border and having a huge amount of mexican types living here or not... i dont recall seeing tons of mexican places like here when i travel.

I'll have hardshell tacos with cheese but on real tacos, if there's cheese = never going back there again
