Victory isn't a given for Barack, but it's getting to the point where McCain needs a bonafide miracle to win on election day.
So assuming McCain doesn't win, what will be his legacy when the race is over? His situation is a unique one, running against the first African American major party nominee for President. His campaign has been called one of the dirtiest in history, repeating outright lies without blinking.
McCain and Palin are breeding outright hatred for Obama amongst their supporters, drawing chants of terrorist, kill him, etc, that draw comparisons to our country's ugly history involving racism and xenophobia.
Will McCain return to the Senate briefly, then retire? Will he mend fences and finish out his career in Congress? Will people trust his judgment if he and Palin lose colossally in November?
